Outreach: PWRDF, food bank donations, Gideons, Samaritan Purse, Worship services at a Personal Care Home and Long term care facilities. We had a Fall Festival and Christmas Party with a good attendance. A mitten tree is done at Christmas time and the generous donations were sent to a school in Saskatoon. Our ladies also will cater to funeral lunches as requested. Parish Goals: Maintain Anglican presence in our communities. Increase size of congregations. Reach out to youth and young families. Enhance fellowship. Spiritual growth. Meet financial demands. Parish Strengths: There is a committed core of members and supporters (always room for improvement); active members are deeply committed to Christ and want to bear witness to their faith; seeing results of their faithfulness. Parish Weaknesses: Aging members; difficulty drawing members from the ‘edge’ to a deeper spiritual awareness.
This is a rural parish including the communities of Endeavour and surrounding communities. It is a mixed farming area with some forest industry. It is also a good hunting and fishing area. Worship Life: Sunday services are held regularly with a Communion Service held once every 6 weeks. . There is a variety of music from the Red and Blue Hymn Books and a “Chorus Book” of hymns and choruses created with favourites from the parish. Special services are held on Christmas Eve, Good Friday and Easter Sunday. We have been having Advent and Lenten Bible Studies with an attendance of approximately 8. We have been holding regularly scheduled services at 11: 00 am. We have a dedicated group of 6 lay readers that take turns doing Morning Services and the Communion Service has been handled by Rev. Luanne Hryrkiw from Yorkton.
