About Us
The Diocese of Saskatoon is situated on Treaty Six Territory and the homeland of the Métis. We pay our respects to the First Nations and Métis ancestors who lived here long before settlers arrived. We affirm our kinship with each other and our ongoing commitment to healing the past and reconciliation for a better future.
The diocese was created in 1933 from the two original Anglican dioceses in Saskatchewan to accommodate the growing regional population. The diocesan mother church is The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Saskatoon. We are part of the Ecclesiastical Province of the Northern Lights, formerly known as the Ecclesiastical Province of Rupert’s Land..
The 20 current parishes offer ministry in communities across a central band of Saskatchewan, stretching from Alberta to Manitoba, reflecting the breadth of the Anglican Tradition.
From small towns to larger cities, from traditional worship to contemporary, from newborn to older, our diversity is our strength. Whether you are new to faith, returning after an absence, or comfortable in the Anglican tradition, we hope you find a place of welcome among us.
The 20 parishes are divided into three deaneries - Western Deanery (orange), Eastern Deanery (blue) and Saskatoon Deanery (green). Contact information for all the churches is available on the deanery pages.
We would love to have you join us for worship, learning, or service. If you would prefer to join us online, please visit the websites of the parishes listed on our home page which provide a live-stream worship option.
