Holy Trinity

Holy Trinity is the Anglican parish furthest to the west in Saskatoon. From a flourishing church at its inception our parish list is dwindling and we have very few children attending regularly. We are in a young community, but work lives and activities seem to take priority. Our usual Sunday service has 15 to 18 with about 4 attending via Zoom. Our strength is in those who work diligently to keep our building in good condition and to present meaningful services every Sunday and on special Holy Days such as Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter. This we do with no assistance from a rector since we haven’t had one for over a year. We have different supply clergy for every service. Over the past several years we have only been able to hire someone 1/4 time. Since our last AGM in 2023, we haven’t filled all of our vestry positions, so we now invite all members to be part of the vestry. For music, we have an organist and a guitarist and we bring in music through a computer. We are happy with this arrangement. Financially we are doing okay. Tithing has been kept up and we have 3 other church communities renting our space on Sunday, and we have other groups who use the building during the week. This keeps us viable and we have always kept up with our share of the Diocesan Family Budget and have budgeted every year for a part time rector. As for the future, we will need a lot of guidance to help us make positive choices going forward.
